The purpose of the meeting led by Gerard Casaubon, director of the CRI, was to present the 2016-2020 Strategic Plan, which includes 5 strategic programs with a total of 50 initiatives whose results will directly benefit community: farmers, small and medium grape growers, academia, scientists, trade associations, wine producers, suppliers, distributors, and different industries working in the world of wine.
Additionally, during the event there was a presentation of the main results of the following programs: Strengthening the plant production area; Resource management and water scarcity; Quality assessment of grapes and wines; IT application, Instrumentation and automation; and New products design.
Viña Concha y Toro’s CEO Eduardo Guilisasti attended the activity along with managers, assistant managers, and members of the Agricultural, Enology, Marketing and Sustainability areas, between others.
“Once a year we want to carry out this activity to share the results of the work done by the CRI team together with other areas. This second edition was very successful, because we had the presence of the winery’s main managers, which shows the commitment to work together on projects that will benefit both their areas and the company as well as members of the wine industry in general,” said Gerard Casaubon.
