The students, who currently attend the second year of the program, visited the CRI to learn more about biotechnology applied to the wine industry. In the center, they were received by Jorge Zincker, Operations Assistant Manager, who presented the programs and led the tour of the facilities.
The purpose of the visit was to deepen the knowledge of students in molecular biology tools and applications and uses of biotechnology in different scientific areas. What was learned during the visit will serve to advance in the Biotechnology Workshop course, which hopes to introduce students to the fields in which they could perform professionally.
“It was an excellent visit; both the students and I were very pleased. The students got a clear image of what is done at the CRI and learned about other horizons and applications their specialty can have. We will definitely return in the future”, said Dr. Marely Cuba, Associated Professor of the Department of Vegetal Science and Technology at Universidad de Concepción.
