In the framework of the strategic program “Intelligent Wine Industry”, professors and researchers of the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) visited the Center for Research and Innovation (CRI) to analyze the use of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in the industry.

Students from Cornell University visit the CRI

As part of a studies program that goes from the laboratory to the vineyards -passing through Spanish lessons- 20 undergraduate students visited the facilities of the Center for Research and Innovation (CRI) to learn about disease detection techniques in the vineyard.

New interns join the Center for Research and Innovation

During this summer, eight inmates joined the CRI team. From countries such as Portugal, Italy and the United States, as well as Chile, students will develop their theses related to the different projects and supervised by the center’s professionals.

Artificial intelligence and drones: New harvest volume prediction system

Responding to the need for a more accurate crop volume prediction system, the CRI is leading, along with the Enological, Agricultural and Grape and Wine Purchase areas, the development of an Artificial Intelligence model that, through the use of drones and remote sensors, aims to deliver a more accurate projection.

CRI participates in GiESCO congress on sustainable vitiviniculture in Mendoza

This congress, held on November, gathered the main actors of the wine industry. The objective was to share the advances in research, technology, and development of innovations on the vine and its final products. The event was attended by government entities from Argentina, international private companies and representatives of the academic world. The focus of the congress was to advance towards a more sustainable industry, sharing good practices and transferring useful knowledge for producers.
