Management Council

The CII Management Council is presided by Rafael Guilisasti G. (Vice-Chairman of the Board of Viña Concha y Toro) and its members are the Director, Gerard Casaubon (Agricultural Engineer Enologist, M.Sc.) and the Counselors, Blanca Bustamante (Corporate Communications Manager), Héctor Urzúa (Head Winemaker at the Lourdes Cellar) and Carlos Valdivia (New Projects Manager) on behalf of the company’s productive and commercial areas.

R+D Team and Scientific Advisory Board

The R+D Management is headed by Álvaro Gonzalez (Ph.D. in Enology from the University of Bordeaux 2) and its members are Jose Cuevas, (Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Bioprocesses, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile), Sebastián Vargas (M.Sc. in Vine Physiology, Universidad de Chile) and Felipe Gainza (Ph.D. in Science, Men. Plant Genetic Engineering University of Talca, Post Ph.D in UC-Davis and at CEAF,Chile). They are supported by the Scientific Advisory Board whose members are the academics Mauricio Lolas, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Agrarian Sciences Faculty, Agronomy School, Universidad de Talca, Edmundo Bordeu, Ph.D., Undergraduate Director of the Agronomy and Forestry Engineering Faculty of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and Dietrich Von Baer, Ph.D., Director of the Instrumental Analysis Department, Universidad de Concepción.

Research team, professional and technical

The research and professional team is organized into three groups led by the Operations Assistant Manager, Jorge Zincker, a Chemist, the Chief of Technological Management and Administration, Alejandro Donoso, MBA and the Winemaker Sergio Manzano, in charge of the Experimental Cellar, who are supported by a team of professionals and technicians in the areas of engineering, viticulture, chemistry and biology.
