The CRI will present at Creo En Chile: the Lollapalooza of entrepreneurship and innovation

Creo en Chile is a meeting point for the largest entrepreneurship and innovation projects in the country. The second edition of this event will be held on June 14 and 15 in Espacio Riesco, in which thousands of attendees will have the opportunity to access more than one hundred talks, conferences, workshops, mentoring and networking.
These activities include the participation of Viña Concha y Toro’s Center for Research and Innovation (CRI), which will be represented in the Agribusiness block by its director, Gerard Casaubon, on Thursday, June 15, from 14:30 to 17:30.
During his participation, Casubon will give a presentation on the CRI, specifying how its strategic plan to conduct high-impact applied research and innovation is structured; its focus on strategic programs led by inter-departmental committees; and how these programs and committees relate to the opportunities provided by co-creation, open innovation, interaction with startups, small and medium companies, entrepreneurs and young professionals, with the aim of strengthening the opportunities offered by Chile’s R&D+I ecosystem. The block will conclude with a panel on “Young agribusiness innovation”, in which Casaubon will share the stage with Fundación para la Innovación Agraria (FIA) and UC Davis.

“The objective of Creo en Chile is to bring innovation and entrepreneurship closer to all Chilean people. The event also fulfills a social purpose as it is completely free of charge, and through this we’re aiming to ensure greater access to showcase national talent with big ideas, and entrepreneurs who are aiming to position themselves in the market,” explains Creo en Chile director Gonzalo Lira.

Innovative companies, startups, incubators, accelerators, technology centers, universities and other organizations related to entrepreneurship and innovation will display their offerings, developments, and the opportunities that they provide to the ecosystem. Additionally, the institutions that co-organize this initiative will make their top professionals and experts available to conduct 15-minute mentoring sessions.

Creo en Chile will provide several areas for entrepreneurs to display their creations, and learn more about essential tools to initiate their project. There will also be a “Gamer Zone” and “Maker Zone” with educational workshops and games.
